Join us on this mission if you are a Licensed Architect who has experience working in Japan:

  • A professional degree in Architecture
  • 12+ years of architecture experience working on all phases of a single project. 
  • Experience with Revit, AutoCAD, and MS Office
  • In-depth knowledge of building codes and construction documentation in Japan
  • Construction Administration experience, including field observation in Japan 
  • LEED Well and/or Passive House accreditation

Duties include:

  • Defending BIG’s design intent throughout all phases
  • Reporting to the Partner-in-Charge
  • Communication with Client & Consultant team
  • Production of contract documents
  • Management and mentorship of team members

Essential skills:

  • Manage client
  • Experience working in Japan
  • Fluent in Japanese 
  • Team and project coordination of consultant team
  • Support communication between project team, clients, vendors, contractors, consultants, and building and permitting officials
  • Provide technical guidance and innovative solutions to help resolve complex technical and design challenges
