We are seeking an Intermediate Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate has a professional degree, 3-5 years of experience, and the motivation to work within a collaborative and design-intensive environment. 

Job Responsibilities

  • Reviews drawings and other project information to write and edit specifications for projects and coordinates compliance with project requirements, institutional guidelines, technical conditions, acceptable standards, and existing laws, rules, regulations and codes;
  • Performs product research and assist project designers with material selection and system research;
  • Provides quality management reviews and technical advice in design development through construction document phases;
  • Provides continual development and improvements of firm’s master specifications and Revit standards;
  • Assists project architects with shop drawings;
  • Coordinate and reviews consultant technical specifications with firm’s standards;
  • Coordinate with consultant specifications;
  • Coordinate hardware, partition, door and material schedules;
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and produce results within deadline.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of relevant professional experience;
  • Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, as well as MS Office and Adobe Creative Suite. Knowledge of BIM 360 and Navisworks is a plus;
  • Demonstrates practical knowledge of building materials, detailing, construction techniques, building systems selection, related engineering principles and building codes;
  • Knowledge of the overall project process from design through construction;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and collaboration skills;
  • Strong organizational skills;
  • High-degree of self-motivation, flexibility, and resourcefulness;
  • Candidate must be eligible to work in the United States without need of employer sponsorship.
