Larson Architecture Works PLLC is a small architecture firm in midtown Manhattan with a varied practice in high quality residential, commercial, boutique retail and civic projects. With degrees from University of Pennsylvania and University of Michigan, Principal Doug Larson has been in private practice in New York City and its environs for over 25 years. The firm has a strong foundation in contextual design and the work spans historicism to modernism.  Every project is different, but all seek to solve problems in creative and thoughtful ways on behalf of the client. Continuing to build a team of dedicated project architects, Larson Architecture Works PLLC is keen to see qualifications from architects and designers who work seamlessly with clients and fellow co-workers to realize projects of the highest standards and caliber.

Project Architect/Project Designer Position:

There is an immediate need for a full-time project architect to oversee new and ongoing residential projects or to work with the boutique retail team. Candidates should ideally have 5 to 10 years of experience with demonstrated project management skills, be able to generate presentation drawings, pull together a full set of working drawings, multitask on multiple projects and be comfortable managing relationships with contractors and consultants.

Requirements

  • Degree in Architecture (BArch, March, or Architectural Technology)
  • Strong ACAD skills a must
  • Photoshop or other rendering capabilities a plus
  • Strong visual and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to confidently work with team and contractors on multiple projects
  • Registration not essential but a plus
  • Permanent legal US work status
