Daniel Romualdez Architects is a boutique, high-end residential Architecture & Interior Design firm located in Manhattan seeking a motivated Architect with 8+ years of experience to join our organization.

We are a small energetic firm with a vibrant & creative culture looking for an individual who has an aptitude for problem solving and the desire for leadership in a dynamic, collaborative work environment.  Candidates will work directly with the Senior Project Manager & Principal to manage and oversee all architectural aspects of projects from concept thru punchlist.

Responsibilities:

  • Primary responsibilities include daily management, coordination with consultants/contractor & support the Project Managers as needed
  • Provide strong organization & relationship management skills while working with the project team
  • Provide strong leadership skills with the ability to delegate work to junior level support staff while monitoring for quality & completeness
  • Organizing & leading the effort of executing construction documentation sets
  • Prepare designs, complete construction documents, drafting, detailing, drawing plans, elevations, sections, etc. from Pre-Design thru Contract Documents
  • Knowledge of materials, finish selections & space planning
  • Research products & specifications as requested to execute design intent
  • Review of submittal & shop drawings alongside Project Manager
  • Compiling and distributing materials, documents, and information as needed thru Field Reports, Memos, Sk’s & Punchlists

 

Qualifications:

  • Candidate must be hands-on, capable of juggling competing deadlines with ease while maintaining calm & attentive to details. Anticipate the next step by thinking creatively, solving problems while paying attention to detail & taking a broad perspective to make the Principals & Project Managers lives easier
  • Seeking an energized, personable & creative personality with a positive can-do attitude & professional demeanor
  • Demonstrate exceptional team-building abilities, have follow-thorough & organization skills are key to this position
  • Must be able to think independently and as a team player who can work on their own & the ability to collaborate with others
  • Must be able to prioritize, multi-task and be flexible to adapt to changes in order to meet deadlines
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality
  • Must be a responsible, proactive, resourceful, self-motivated individual with strong communication skills, both orally and written & ability to collaborate with other team members.


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture or Design Related field required.
  • 8+ years of experience in all phases of design, from schematic through construction administration
  • Wood framing experience or Development experience is a plus
  • High-end residential experience is a plus
  • This position requires fluency in AutoCAD & proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite & Adobe Creative Suite programs, Outlook
  • NYC DOB filling experience and knowledge of ADA compliances is a plus
