POSITION: PROJECT MANAGER for HIGH-END RESIDENTIAL GENERAL CONTRACTING COMPANY

ABOUT US: We are a very busy boutique general contracting company specializing in high-end residential renovations in Manhattan. We pride ourselves on exceptional quality in our work and continually strive to deliver a professional client experience that exceeds our clients’ expectations.

With several active projects and more on the horizon, we are looking to hire a Project Manager immediately.

ABOUT YOU: You have several years of experience managing residential renovation projects in NYC. You are a driver - you know how to manage timelines and your team to meet deadlines and ensure a high level quality in workmanship. You run a tight ship and enjoy creating efficiency and order in a somewhat chaotic environment. You present and conduct yourself professionally, especially to clients and building management. You see opportunities for improvement and anticipate obstacles and proactively address them. You are a problem solver, and you know how to get things done.

You are comfortable in a fast-paced, high pressure work environment managing workers and subcontractors to oversee a few job sites at any given time.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and deliver detailed project timelines to deliver on commitments to client.
  • Direct and manage team and subcontractors to meet daily and weekly progress according to agreed upon timeline.
  • Identify resources needed and assign responsibilities to team members.
  • Review deliverables prepared by the team and sub-contractors to ensure completion and quality of workmanship.
  • Plan and organize all subcontractors and site deliveries to ensure project runs smoothly and on schedule.
  • Prepare for and participate in regularly scheduled progress reviews with clients.
  • Hold regular status meetings with project team, owner and GC and office (as needed).
  • Use judgement to resolve and/or escalate issues in a timely fashion.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 7+ years of experience managing high-end residential renovation projects.
  • 2+ years of experience managing NYC-based renovation projects.
  • Custom renovation construction experience.
  • Ability to read architectural plans and complete takeoffs.
  • Ability to use Mac/Word/Excel/Google Docs/Dropbox.
  • Experience with construction project management software is a plus.
  • OHSA certification

SALARY:

Salary commensurate with experience.Performance-based bonus opportunities.
