The Standard, High Line is seeking a strong Engineering Manager to join our amazing team! Reporting directly to the Director of Engineering, the Engineering Manager will oversee a staff of at least 15 Building Engineers, and will supervise maintenance, repairs, projects, and transitions across the hotel and all food & beverage outlets. 

Responsibilities include:

  • Review repairs emails constantly; assign repair orders, and follow up on all repairs after completion
  • Periodic daily building walks for repair issues
  • Maintain boiler room/woodshop/pump rooms/chiller plants, etc.
  • Constant communication with hotel and F&B management on repairs progress
  • Attend daily and weekly operations meetings
  • Create and maintain SOPs for outlet transitions
  • Regularly communicate with vendors, contractors, and inventory management company 
  • Plan and schedule daily assignments for Building Engineers
  • Oversee special projects as necessary
  • Handle furniture repairs/maintenance

Ideal candidates will have:

  • At least 2 years background as a Manager in a similar-sized boutique/design hotel
  • HVAC maintenance/repair certification
  • Some experience with plumbing and/or electrical systems
  • Experience handling payroll, scheduling, ordering
  • Experience with HotSOS and Microsoft Office
