Project Architect / Designer for Real Estate Development Team

Queens based Real Estate Development firm with in-house architecture and construction departments, is seeking architects/designers with superior production capabilities to achieve both design excellence and technical expertise on High-Rise Hospitality and Multi-Family projects in Manhattan and Queens.

Our office acts as design liaison for the development team and promotes an architectural design studio environment for all pre-development efforts. We highly value individuals with concentrated primary expertise in either Interior Design, FF&E, Technical Detailing, NYC Zoning Regulations, Building Codes & Regulations as well as Construction Means & Methods; however a well-balanced combination of both creative and technical qualifications would be an asset.

Primary Responsibilities:
-Support ongoing projects with both design work and technical detailing.
-Develop through and detailed Construction Documents in AutoCAD.
-Prepare Zoning Documents, Renderings, and Design Sketches to assist creative problem solving.
-Conduct coordination with consultants and their CD’s for producing details as required.
-Follow up closely with project milestones and if they are met.
-Report directly to Design Director.

-Min of two (2) to eight (8) years of relevant experience. 
     (Previous Hotel Projects in New York City is a plus)
-Well balanced technical and creative background in the design and architecture industry. 
     (RE Development experience is a plus)
-High-level proficiency in CD production work, inline with the design direction 
     (Proven ability to produce sets with min supervision is a plus)
-Strong sense of coordination work with 3rd party consultants.
     (Previous role in MEP and Structural coordination is a plus)
-Excellent AutoCAD skills including X-refs, blocks, macros, sheet management and file maintenance. 
     (Revit, Photoshop, SketchUp is a plus)
-Architectural or Engineering licensure is not required 
     (NY State registration or track would be a plus)
-College Degree in either: Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Interior Design.
     (Advanced/ Graduate Degree is a plus)
