This project is designed for the owner of the Primo Hospitality Group, who was going to open a new fresh food market with restaurant section in the Mission Bay area of San Francisco.
Our design goals as a team was to make a space where the customers living in neighborhood would want to visit multiple times in a day to have a diverse food experience. Customers can have easy breakfast with crepes and sweets, freshly prepared foods for lunch and dinner, and gourmet foods available at the restaurant in addition to fresh groceries in the market area.
We have conducted several case studies to make the best efficiency for our design and idea development processes to aesthetically and effectively utilize the given existing space. It was difficult to plan multiple sections with different purposes in the long and narrow building space, but we developed the effective management of human traffic by prioritizing the sections based on the importance for client's business driver, and making the mezzanine level for storage.
