Founder & Partner (2009-present)
I founded reBuild Consulting with the goal is to make the LEED process efficient, strategic and holistic by working in partnership with building owners, architects, and engineers. In this work, I direct the LEED Certification process through the facilitation of an integrative approach, strategic project management, applying a thorough understanding of LEED to a variety of project application. I also manage the company's operations including business development, company communications, accounting, taxes, and proposals. This experience has given me an in-depth understanding of business administration and a company's financial management.

“Jill and ReBuild were invaluable to me on a very complex and difficult project we completed in 2011, which was a certified Tier III, co-location data center in Bend, Oregon. We achieved LEED Gold certification (one of only five data centers in the country to achieve gold or better). After terminating the contract for our original LEED Administrator, ReBuild came in after construction was well underway and really saved the day. We would never have achieved our goal had they not been involved. It was a great pleasure working with her and Lauren. I've already recommended Jill to other clients and look forward to working with her again in the near future.”

"Jill’s efforts have and will continue to be dedicated to the improvement of the built environment – one project, one community, one social concern at a time. She simultaneously participates in architecture, sustainability, and the engagement of social concerns in her local community and her world community of developing countries. She sees sustainability not from the trendy notion of “greening” the built environment but from a conscientiousness of elevating life through the making of shelters and communities that are socially and sustainably responsible. Each of these issues links her passions in the designed environment with the social concerns of the world. Ms. Kurtz will be an architect, which we all look up to."
