Our Clients required additional space primarily to accommodate a Dining room. This was combined with a Family/sitting area to overlook the long narrow rear garden.
The rear of our Client’s mid-terraced home had already been extended a number of times in a haphazard fashion. These were replaced with a new extension that stretches across the whole width of the property.
The ground floor was re-organised; the Kitchen moved centrally, away from the rear and utilises a former window to look internally through the new extension to the garden. A new Shower room was provided under the existing stair and a wall of storage created to rationalise, and provide interest to, the extended corridor.
The main features of this new extension are the six rooflights that link together to maximise light to the deep plan. Sliding doors open directly to the new patio area and prevent the room from feeling enclosed.
