The inspiration for the design of this chair came from a social housing unit from Cite de l’abreuvoir in the Parisian suburb of Bobigny. Much of the characteristics from Emile Aillauid’s three-point star complex is reflected within the back of the chair. 1” x 1” voids zig-zag down the spin to represent the way the openings of the building ore offset. The angled cuts are also in reference to how the three units are rotated to create the footprint. The chair is made entirely of solid walnut and constructed with the use of pure joinery.
