About

I am looking for new job opportunities in the Boston area after recently moving back to Massachusetts (my home state) from Seattle, where I worked in a small architecture firm and collaborated on the design and project management of residential and commercial projects.

I have a total of 7 years of professional architectural experience during which I worked on a mix of ground-up construction and renovation projects.  The largest projects I have worked on include master-planning and city design projects in Asia while at KPF, and the smallest projects include custom furniture for residential clients in Seattle.  However, most of my projects have been small to medium-sized projects like private residences and schools.  I managed the Blue School project for Blue Man Group while at Hudson Studio Architects, and the completed preschool was featured in multiple news publications throughout 2009 and 2010.

I enjoy academic environments, both for learning and teaching.  While attending grad school, I worked as a graduate teaching assistant and as an IT Lab assistant.  These jobs involved assisting students in design and technical classes, assisting students and faculty with printing and IT issues, and completing graphic design projects for the School of Design.

While I enjoy the spatial planning and problem-solving involved in architecture and design, preserving nature is a high priority for me.  I have a strong appreciation for national and state parks as well as city parks, and I am interested in their relationship to city and rural planning.
