About 

Irmak Ciftci is a recent graduate from Pratt Institute and is currently residing in New York. She is driven by challenges and innovative applications of representation and fabrication processes. While studying in Pratt Institute, she has co-curated Aesthetics of Prosthetics Exhibition for the Dean's Lecture Series. The exhibition focused on how designers and architects engage prosthetic/virtual tools in their design processes that redefines contemporary aesthetics. https://www.instagram.com/prosthetics.exhibition/

Throughout her education, Irmak has won and been nominated for design awards and scholarships, seven of ten design projects chosen as best-of-studio and have been archived and published by Pratt Institute. She has worked as a Research Assistant in Interdisciplinary Technology Lab (ITL) at Pratt Institute for 4 years, operating extensively with 3D Printers/ CNC Milling/ Laser and Digital Cutters.

Collaborated closely with Beth O’Neill & Chris McVoy (Partner Emeritus, Steven Holl Architects)
Researched, designed, and built presentations, renderings, models and drawings for various projects including a 20,000 sf residence, a 1,000 sf artist studio, a 5,200 sf house addition and a 3,300 sf pre-school, focusing intensively on developing construction documents and shop drawings.
Coordinated with Rockhill Construction during construction administration through site meetings and utilized virtual management tools like Procore.
Worked with multiple vendors on submittals to fabricate custom furniture.
Met regularly with the UMASS Dartmouth faculty & staff to prepare a space optimization plan of their existing College of Arts building and co-designed a new adjacent arts building.
Designed and made presentation boards for the 2022 Arch Out Loud Housing Competition.
Designed award entries and publications in which OM Architects got recognized.
