Scheme to add a small mansard-style extension to the elaborate roof of a late Victorian/early Edwardian public house in Lewisham.
The upper floors are to be converted to 3 residential units whilst a fourth is created by the extension.
Cladding it in dark slate to keep with the traditional roofing material, we allow the slate to 'melt' down the stair core to 'pool' above the new entry space, creating a dramatic and uplifting entrance.
Granted planning permission April 2013.
