Traveling coffee bar, Freight was designed out of a recycled shipping container.  Through a deconstruction of the containers’ form and materiality a streamline design was derived. 

The space was opened up by removing the doors and hinging the front panel for consumer access.  Windows and skylights were created by puncturing the containers shell along its inherent divisions. This removed material was recycled to fabricate interior elements; such as the bar and countertops. A green roof further enhances the sustainable design intent.

Outlining the interior shell allows the bar and countertops to become one with the exterior.  A custom hinge and track system further allow the space to open and close with ease, providing seamless transportation.
