Design
New manufacturing facilities for the laboratory equipment firm Büchi AG are currently being constructed in the town of Flawil near St. Gallen.
Draped onto a soft, sloping hill, the building will look out onto the picturesque, Swiss landscape. The placement and configuration of the building allow employees to relate to the surrounding views at all times.
In constant with functional work cycles and a beneficial work environment, the building is integrated elegantly into the landscape and focuses on user friendliness in its interior layout.
Ecological policy
imgang value the importance of ecologically sensible and state-of-the-art construction technology and have designed the factory building accordingly.
Users will draw benefits from the building's close relationship to its natural environment. The roof is conceived as a green roof, in order to counteract the construction's encroachment on the landscape and to avoid a reduction of habitable space for flora and fauna. Ecologically sustainable building materials, intelligent spatial layout and surfaces, and energy-saving details tap into the full potential of modern building technology.
