Covington, KY
On our very first LEED project, we led an integrated design/build team in the renovation and conversion of the historic 150,000 square foot, fifteen-story Federal Reserve Building at Fourth and Race Street in downtown Cincinnati. We worked with the developer to provide a design that maintained the character and integrity of the existing building, while allowing for the conversion of former office space into spacious, light-filled apartments in the fourth through fourteenth floors. Because we were able to retain the historic framework, tax credits were able to be applied for and obtained. The project also involved the renovation and upgrade of existing office spaces and the addition of a roof-top deck with panoramic views of the city. We were able to maintain historical elements and spaces, while creating fantastic living spaces. The roof deck offers panoramic views across the city and the river back to our home in Covington.
