Modular Hotel

The North Miami Beach project consisted in creating a modular hotel on the beach, the hotel was modular to assemble, all the units are the same except for the corner units which are bigger and fixed. The fixed structure helped the skeletal structure of the modules stand. In order to maximize views the main facade is tilted NE. sun exposure was an important factor in the design, the modules are coming in and out in order to provide shade for the unit next or under it. Also creates dynamism in the facade. the balconies are a product of the shifting of the units so all the balconies are on the roof of the unit below. The main idea of the project was to make tenants feel like they were in paradise, the rooftop terraces on the west side provide a change in the environment, providing bars and retail spaces, it goes up to the fourth floor where a terrace that cuts through the building is located allowing users to enjoy the fresh breeze as well as amazing views.
