Cathy Hayes and her team of architects and interior designers have a remarkable talent to create a deep-rootedness in restaurant designs that, although brand new, feel like legacy, local favorites from the very start. Long time restaurateur, Mark Shugrue, approached Catherine Hayes to develop a new design for their neighborhood restaurant with "a fun inviting, family-friendly atmosphere". The team met the challenge of refreshing the tired and cramped space of their former restaurant, Shugrue's Hillside Grill. 

Newly named THE HUDSON, the hayes' design team removed all of the interior walls, created a large welcoming bar for drinking and dining. They also introduced roomy booths around the perimeter of the dining room, submersing each guest in glorious views. Plastering the walls deep blue and brown colors from the natural rock shadows intensifies the natural colors of sun, sky, and stone.
