Reconstruction and upgrade of the new American Buddhist Cultural Society’s Temple in the heart of San Francisco on Van Ness Avenue. A 5-story facility housing 42,000 square feet of program including an education center which consists of 2 classrooms and a lecture hall, a Buddhist shrine and meditation room on the upper levels, and three-levels of private dormitories. At the heart of the project is a light-filled courtyard which serves an art gallery, bookstore, and teahouse for public use.
