Habitat for Humanity- Sustainability, Affordability, & Inclusive Design

The house is a rehab project in collaboration with Habitat for Humanity, Buffalo. The topics are selected to emphasize and research the use of the house, Universal Design, Affordability, & Sustainability.
Universal design, the family that we are designing for consist of 12 members of a multigenerational family that will, ideally, want to age in place.
Affordable design since we are working with habitat for humanity and trying to keep a tighter budget that helps the family improve their future.
Sustainable design because it includes designing and constructing houses that are efficient and durable, that use less resources, are healthy to live in and are affordable. Sustainably helps take better care of the environment, and the homeowners. My goals are to reduce the home’s monthly and life cycle costs and increase efficiency and durability while providing healthy environments.
