The site has an area of 4.100 m2 and is located at the top of a hill in the Koundouros area in the island of Kea some 550 meters away from the sea .
The client – the VP HR of a large multinational company ,-needed a vacation residence – a retreat for himself and his family .
The plot was very rocky and extremely steep but it provided us with a large quantity of local stone.
Views were of paramount importance, so the building was designed as a linear shape located along the north-south axis in order to maximize views and avoid frequent level changes.
The library was built at the northern end of the axis at a tilt of 45 degrees, while the guest room is located at the south end.
A direct connection of the interior with the exterior was achieved through the use of a semi-open space located between the main building and the guest house.
The middle yard is dominated by a cascade swimming pool.
