Preferably, you'd get an i7 with RAM upgradable past 4GB- RAM is extremely important in CAD applications, more so than graphics performance. I'd say your laptop would run CAD fairly well, seeing as how my current 1GB RAM, Core 2 Duo laptop with integrated graphics can run CAD slowly.
Laptop for CAD on a budget
Hi
I am looking for a cheap laptop that will run autocad, archicad, photoshop etc.
Unfortunately have no technical knoweldge.
Can anyone say whether this laptop will be ok. I know there are better more expensive machines but I don't want to spend a lot at the moment.
Dell Studio 15
Intel i5 430M 2.53GHZ, 320GB Hard Drive, 4GB DDR3 RAM
512MB ATI RADEON HD 4570 Graphic Card
sells for £540
Many thanks
