Rather than producing a building design which will probably never become reality, or a research paper which no one will probably read, has anyone explored a more entrepreneurial thesis project in grad school?
PROJECTiONE started as an entrepreneurial thesis and is now a full-blown practice. You might need to dig a bit on the website to find any information about the thesis work.
There's plenty of room for this and that line of inquiry also depends on the faculty you have and finding someone that would be interested in helping you to frame the question and develop that knowledge. There are a lot of components of practice today that some are finding a specialty niche in. Just have to keep an eye on the bigger picture and not let your path paint you into a corner.
