Cul-de-sacs aren't bad if you allow for direct transportation between them even if it is a walled path along a property line!
I'm quite fond of it. This is actually a pretty common historic housing type for the UK.
Don't you wish Americans would be able to be satisfied with such no-nonsense architecture ? Aren't you a little surprised that all that traditional brickwork was able to be afforded -- for a scheme including some low-income housing, on what was apparently an expensive piece of land ?
