books on classical construction..

accesskb

Even with a degree in architecture and a few years of work expereience, I'm still in awe when I see some classical buildings and often wonder how certain parts were even put together.

With that said, I'm now on a quest to try an understand in detail how they are constructed and built.

Are there any good books available to learn from?  I'm more interested in construction and detail books than simplified books with only photos and text about big ideas etc.

Vitruvius, Alberti, and Palladio all have sections with construction details.
