Model a Fortune Cookie, Fast in Rhino?

SHi

I was challenged the other day to model a fortune cookie in Rhino with just using line and loft commands.

Any suggestions?

I just tried this. I have completely forgotten how to draw in rhinko now and every time I move around my view boxes flicker.

Does it have to hollow on the inside?

for a down and dirty dimpled cone:
pushed in circular rail
line to apex
sweep
mirror

i cant see that taking more than 60 seconds.
multiple lines to apex for smoothing, still cant be more than a minute.

down n dirty

for elegance, perhaps 30 min.

simply mirroring it won't give you the right connections. mine is a single surface.

yes hollow inside. After all , where would you place the fortune?. Evan not bad ! but , a little crinkle in the center. Should be a a simple fast.
Pretty close .

Evan , What steps did you take?

the crinkle makes it more realistic!

here are the input curves, and what it looks like if i left loft on 'do not simplify'. the image above was done w/ loft set to rebuild w/ 20 pts.

So far I think Evan is the winner unless . Someone else comes delivers something better!

do you have a cleaner strategy? (one problem w/ mine is the central spine is still a loop - so there's a small hole there that shouldn't be).

this was fun.

You can do it in about 3 minutes with a sweep1. But I guess that's no fun?

you could also take a circular planar surface and fold it up with cageedit in about a minute... but that's cheating.
