Hello!
I am shopping for a small tablet and I am done with the comparison between models. I got a lot of the specifications on each one. I want to go beyond of the sales speech and get the USER EXPERIENCE point of view on the pen nibs, for the bamboo and intuos 4.
I work in architectural design and at home I do quite a bit of freehand art. A pen will help me to skip 1 or 2 steps finalizing drawings. My questions:
1) The standard pen nib on the bamboo, is it enough good for freehand drawing?
($ 69.00 Bamboo Pen tablet or $99.00 Bamboo pen & touch)
2) What’s your experience with the intuos4, pen nibs galore? Do you need all them?
I am considering the small Intuos4 for $199.00 with the (1 stroke nib, 3 hard felt nibs, 1 flex nib, 5 standard nibs)
i'd go for the intuos rather than the bamboo cause of it's higher sensitivity. i have a intuos 3 and i like the flex nib because its integrated spring on the nib makes it feels like a mechanical pencil, which is my preferred tool. but i also change my nib frequently for different purposes, flex for everyday use, the felt nib for freehand drawing/illustration, and the standard nibs for other purposes.
i've never tried the bamboo pen before, but it seems like it only have 2 different nibs, both look similar.
