Digital Presentation Methods

kanu

What are your favorites.

Im getting tired of the old powerpoint or pdf slide show. As far as I know displaying one large board like you would print out is impossible because of low resolution. Unless you want to be zooming in and out. Does anyone know of a good way to display boards digitally or some method thats easier to facilitative discussion the way printed material does without people having to ask you to "show us that slide again"?

What has worked well for you? Savings on time would be great I don't want to have to create some flash extravaganza for each presentation I do but i do want something better then the slide show or zooming in a pdf.

Hi,

It is always better to create some pdfs so that it will look nice and also you can also present this on a large board as, this will also work the best as, digitally displaying the boards by using some flash will work good for everyone.

Thanks!

I've been pondering the potential of this iPod/iPhone app that turns the screen into a wifi touchpad/keyboard. Say you loaded a simplified model into SketchUp or what have you, after the presentation you could navigate the model as folks asked questions. You could even set up scenes in SketchUp for the presentation itself, either with layered informational labels that switch on and off between scenes or with printed handouts for the text portion.

If you make your PDFs right, they are nearly infinite in resolution.

Also, PDFs do allow 3d models in them.

you need Acrobat3D and/or a 3D program that exports in the acrobat3D format

if you have enough time and money, you can do a pretty flash slide/animation presentation.
