that's pretty nice. I'm curious to hear/read what else it out there for our field of work. i can think of several ideas that would be quite useful perhaps I need to get a software engineer on board... hah
yeah that's the problem - all the programming! i was reading this article in the NYTimes this weekend, and they mentioned this app called "Limbo" which supposedly allows you to "compete against other out-of-work architects to design projects that will never be built." however, i can't seem to find anything about it online other than some lame social application. anyway, i came up with this list here, if any of you are interested!
i've been looking for a feet/inches calculator as a widget forever now, it would be nice to have that as an app...there are soooo many other calculators, convert this, measure that, but no feet/inches calc.
Although it pricey, I recommend the archflash cards for iPhone... It's the se as the paper flashcards but on your phone... The interface is well designed, you can browse cards in three ways: by exam section, search on a keyword, or checkbox any topics you want included...
Another AP I have is autodesk sketchbook.. It's a basic drawing software for your iPhone, a bit like paint, but you can save sketches...

Speaking of the iPhone....
Anyone come across any interesting applications for architects? For example, the new color programs by Benjamin Moore/Sherwin Williams...

I wish they had ARE study software.
Latest threadless shirt
ARE study software is a GREAT idea. someone should get on that... LEED flashcards, too....
thanks for the calc. stuff, and yeah the ARE (and LEED) study material would be great!
there are LEED prep materials--just go to the app store and search for "LEED"
$35 for flash cards that you can easily carry in your pocket isn't so bad…
~bump~
There are ARE study aps...
