I was wondering if the laptop/docking station setup is a possibility for architectural work, or if you really need more memory than a laptop will provide. I would be running Autocad plus Creative Suite. Has anyone used a laptop with docking station for arch?
I used to use an alienware laptop--works OK if you have an external monitor.
some laptops now come with the ability to expand to 4GB RAM (which should be sufficient for most work--high poly [2mil+] rendering and large pixel [4k] images might be too much though)
