sorry chicagoski, i fail to see how it's so much better than any other poster - it's good, but there are a lot of good ones. it's not so over-the-top amazing that it would compel a vast percentage of viewers to vote for it (in my opinion)
There were a total of 2936 votes. Congratulations to UIC School of Architecture!

Um, not to be like Alberto Gonzales here, but were there any anomalies in the voting? Like, were there a LOT of votes from Chicago? By dead people, perhaps? LOL.
No seriously though, the vote seems a bit lopsided. It's a good poster, I'm just saying.
I think your suspicions are valid WK. We used a free Polldaddy account for this, which doesn't show submitter data like location or IP addresses so there's no way to verify. It was just a fun contest, though, and regardless of the voting method, the winning poster is a nice one. My favorite was Columbia's.
VOTE FOR YOUR FAVORITE LECTURE POSTER FOR FALL 2008!
Polls close on Sunday, November 23rd
What is your favorite Architecture School Lecture poster for Fall 2008?
( surveys )
where is ASU School of Architecture? They have had some great Fall lectures
41% eh - that's lopsided enough to make me wonder if there's a lot of newly-registered UIC students here...
good i'll vote for UIC too for the above reason
...and the fact that it's just the best poster, you forgot to mention.
actually I like University of Minnesota - College of Design's most
i did not know UIC was in miami...just kidding

79% - new feelings in architecture, baby. UIC: generating newness despite itself.
i don't know why we even have these polls. some jokers always stuff the ballot box, and the results are completely meaningless.
Meaningless Jokers within architecture schools - NEVER!!!!!!
cynical but not meaningless ;)

How many total votes did you receive? It had to be in the upper hundreds if not over one thousand...

That's true. I did like Columbia's. I think UNL's was just OK, but had the most potential ... I'd like to see it in a different typeface though.
much like the Obama vote people just wanted to vote for the winner. at least that is what i did
if you couldn't see the results before the vote was final it might have turned out different.
I agree - next time, closed voting please!
