For anyone who applied to Princeton/Yale/MIT/Harvard and didn't get accepted to the first 2 yesterday: what do you figure our shot at the latter 2 is? >.<
Long time lurker, but first time posting. this thread and site have been extremely helpful throughout the process, but i feared once i started posting i wouldn't be able to stop...we'll see if this comes true or not. in any case, i am glad (and relieved) to annouce that i just got accepted into GSAPP! Yay columbia!
To everyone who go in to Yale, congrats, it's a fantastic place with a ton of resources and fun students. I'm a current Yale senior (undergrad) and who applied for grad school and have not heard back yet :( Hopefully there will be some more acceptance emails coming out today, cuz it hurts to be rejected from your home institution (your faculty wrote the recommendations! what more could you want, bob?? haha)
For all those hopeful about more admissions from them (myself included), I just contacted them and said they'd be doing them in batches. *crosses fingers*
Oh my God sourdough, you made me feel better there... thank you for that info... last night i wasnt able to sleep well, kept on thinking about not getting any GSAPP notification... :( i wish us luck!
Me too, couldn't sleep at all after hearing people were getting in after midnight. But looking at the results from last year, they seemed to let everyone know who got in within a few days. But who knows...I'm just trying to convince myself there's hope lol. Good luck!

ah...right. Scholarship does not equal financial aid, sorry, mind slipped due to a bout of euphoria. Congrats to you and the rest as well.
I love how the acceptance includes the $18,900 tuition figure, or the fact that Yale projects $55,000 a year.
Euphoria over.
congrats all columbia people! let's hope today is just as eventful! (even though it is friday the 13th...)

Which schools have the cheapest application fees? That's my new ranking system.
n400 apparently pratt still accepts apps now
why do you want to apply to more schools?

Anyone else not get an email from Columbia saying to check status online?
I logged on to the website and there's no acceptance decision info.
