I finished my undergrad last year, and am currently working for a design/ build company. I'm looking to apply to M. Arch programs next year, and looking to find programs with a design/ build focus (or at least with preference for design/ build over, say, parametrics.) I know RISD has an interesting Master in Interior Architecture degree, and I've heard SALA (UBC) also has design/ build aspects.
If anyone currently attending these or similar programs, and can comment on their experience/ interests, please do! I would be interested in opinions of what to include in a portfolio also.
Design/ Build M.Arch programs
Hey everyone,
I finished my undergrad last year, and am currently working for a design/ build company. I'm looking to apply to M. Arch programs next year, and looking to find programs with a design/ build focus (or at least with preference for design/ build over, say, parametrics.) 2 immediately come to mind.. I know there are a few more, but these are the more well known ones..
-Parsons - look for their "Design Workshop"
-University of Kansas - Dan Rockhill's Studio 804
University of Utah - Design Build Bluff
Commonly overlooked but pretty successful program, definitely not interested in 'parametrics'
