i was wondering if anybody else watches these free lectures that have been posted up on itunes. there are some interesting urban planning lectures recorded at mit. i suggest checking it out if you have some time. the ones ive watched so far discuss sprawl, and poverty (camden).
I try to get into lectures and podcast about architecture and urban planning but I am such a visual person that it becomes challenging to hold my attention.
While I can listen away to NRP, music, newscast, stories, etc., without a problem, I easily get distracted because many of the orators constantly cross-reference their PowerPoint images on a screen that I can not see. I kind of give up midway through and find myself searching for my Spice Girls folder on my iPod.
Hi xacto and others, I'll throw our own podcast into the mix - "The Midnight Charette". It is hosted by myself and Emma Pascal. We are both Architects in NYC. Some of the material is more serious and informative (more inline with what you were looking for) and some of its is totally random. Most of it is definitely NSFW. Check out our website.
The Midnight Charette is a weekly podcast featuring New York architectural designers Bruce Mar and Emma Pascal who share their stories and thoughts about design, people and more.
