What's the best method of importing rhino model into 3ds max without losing info and layer properties?

DXF works pretty well for rectilinear stuff. But the real winner is the Npower importer plug-in.

I usualy save in Rhino as a dwg. and then import. There are a few options there as to how to import the model in Viz - by layer, by type, by element. By element is best. The only thing is you sometimes have to organise your layers in viz [which are all there anyway].

If you import by layer, you can only select everything on the layer, unless you explode which is nasty. So it becomes hard to affect individual objects.

Then there is this!

Perhaps they're getting close to an easier way to export!
