Have any of you tried TurboCAD for architectural work? If so, have you been able to produce decent results? I'm curious, as it seems to have a very full feature set, at a low price point. If you haven't seen it, info can be obtained at http://www.turbocad.com .
I have found that TurboCAD takes a while to kick in...superchargedCAD has instentanious feedback, but draws some of the power away from CAD. You may want to look at TwinTurboCAD; that shit is a little pricy, but will get you laid for sure if you take it to the right places
DEVicox they mostly use crippleware autodesk edu software or pirate huh? now that pirating for personal use is legal in most of the world except that rouge super power.

i use normal cad, but i just bought a bottle of NOS so it goes really fast when i hit enter.
there is always also the free open source IntelliCAD varieties.
for those on who don't want to take from proprietors, can't qualify as a student, and don't have any funds to pay.
I was looking on intellicad.org the other day, and didn't seem to see any that were actually free. I saw quite a few that were cheap, but none that were free. Perhaps I just didn't dig far enough. I'm just looking for something cheap/free for a quick and dirty personal project I'm working on.
archicad is free for students. files saved in the edu version cannot be opened in the commercial version. you can share files between mac and pc platforms and open .dwg files.
i think turbocad is popular with boat designers and is very inefficient for designing large buildings.
Yeah I got flamingo ..but only for quick process models..
I also bought Maxwell Render...Which I plan to use for final presentation models..
I bought a student license for almost 300 bucks...
I originally bougth the full license from offbroadway, but the guy called me back and told me that i can purchase a student license from next limit directly.
:D hehe these are good times for render engines.. if you have seen the full selection and the upcomming ones
i am interested to see Toucan witch would have that good flamingo like integration not that brazil vray and maxwell aren't doing superbly in that area as well.

TurboCAD has a strong following as does DATACAD

why we stick naturallyaspiratedCAD huh?
i used that shit back in 2002, high school. what an awful program.
just go pirate yourself some autocad. they don't need anymore money anyways.
better yet get yourself Rhinoceros it's affordable at 150$ and just schooled autocad with its latest release
Where exactly does one get Rhino for $150? I am not a student, and am looking ONLY for legit software.
take 1 class in ANYTHING. that will suffice. the edu license IS a commercial license, this is very forward thinking and bright of them.
chk it out: http://www.rhino3d.com/eduproducts.htm
architecture students actually buy software?
my mistake, 149.98 here:

seeing as where copyrights can be a violation of human rights on 4 of the charters that makes sense.

Rhino is actually cheaper from
http://students2.autodesk.com/ $139
Rhino 3d website charges 150
Sorry I just doubled Check.....
the price on http://students2.autodesk.com/
went up to 150
but on the Rhino3d website it cost 195
so its still cheaper
I bought the Rhino , Bundle pack which includes Flamingo, penguin, bongo for $339 on the Rhino website that would cost have cost me $495
so dont buy it from rhino.....save a few bucks for your model building supplies
good research DifficultFix very helpful to those wanting to go this route.
yes Penguin and Bongo are very nice
about Flamingo thou I would rather look to other engines currently
there is a poll on this:
http://offbroadway.blogspot.com/search/label/Poll
TurboCAD should integrate a tax software with its drafting capabilities

witch also has some kind of cool think as i seem to remember about becoming a commercial license.
exactly after the 3 years..it becomes a full license
:D hehe these are good times for render engines.. if you have seen the full selection and the upcomming ones
