B.A. with art major (focus on architecture) applying for M Arch - what is the value of my background

clack

I went to a top liberal arts school and majored in Art with a focus on Architecture.  This involved 2 semesters of studio and a year of design thesis ending in a show.  It also involved 3 or 4 semesters of architecture history. and one semester of calculous  Does anyone have experience in applying for a MArch from a similar background?

How do schools typically value this experience?  Is it enough to get you advanced placement?

I think it depends on the university. That seems like enough to get in as long as you have a good portfolio, solid references, etc.

I have a minor in architecture, so that is only one year of architecture school out of a three year masters program. With only one year I was still able to produce a lot of solid work and put it into a portfolio.

I'm sure you're portfolio would be pretty extensive (probably more so than mine), so I don't think you have to worry.
