What is a strong average GRE score for grad school? I am worried about the GRE more then the Portfolio. Any one admitted with a below average GRE score?
I think everyone will say that GRE is less important than portfolio, but more important for 3-year students than for 2-year. I had a friend who scored 1000 and got into several competetive programs. I heard an admissions guy at a strong program say (in reference to 3 year) that everything was ranked 1-4 with the portfolio being the most important. If you had a 1 in Portfolio or GPA you were out. It seems that a strong GPA and GRE would bring up a below average portfolio, and a really strong portfolio trumps a pretty low GPA and GRE.
