why are materials text books so bad when they could be good? i mean even if your prof is really bad, the book could help. instead they make it worse. it's hard to make a connection with my studio projects. i found a good book (materials for design --PAP -- $32) and am lobbying for a text change before i have to plunk down $50 for total boredom that i don't want.
