there arent two uic's.... UIC is university of illinois in chicago... generally in these here parts, the university of illinois in champaign is just called..... well...... the univeristy of illinois.... or U of I
I got an scholarship in both, so the cost is not a problem. I think that living in NY is more expensive; however I think there is not much difference in cost.
i love chicago to death... always will... but chicago isnt nyc... start in NY... come back to chicago if you want... it might be harder to go the other way...
I've been admitted to the same courses, Pratt _ MS Post Professional, with scholarship; and M.Arch University of Illinois at Urbana Champagne. I'm deciding on them but I've got a lot of advice of choosing Pratt because of New York. It helps in networking and the city has a lot of opportunities in terms of internships and job opportunities. Let me know what you decide. :)

UIC OR PRATT, HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I was accepted to Pratt and UIC for a Post-Professional Master Degree in Architecture. I don´t know which is better. What do you advise me?
UIC Champagne or Chicago? They're very different schools. Matt keeps a pretty good tab on graduate UIC Chicago projects on this blog. http://www.freshmeatjournal.org/ offers a peak at the student experience. Definitely check both of these out, if you haven't yet, before making up your mind.
This blog is not in English. Can you post the link to an English version if available?

It's been so long, the journal is currently accepting submissions for it's 10th issue!!
Sorry, I didn't know that there are two UIC. I was admitted at University of Illinois in Chicago.
