I live in LA and want topo maps of Santa Barbara. I don't need hard copies. Any advice?
You can get digital or hard copies of any USGS map from a lots of companies. Mapsport.com is one. Also try terraserver.com sometimes they have other maps with closer contours (USGS maps have 10 or 20 foot contours.)
the real terraserver is heregod's gift to cartographers Most state governments also have GIS and maps available- just search for GIS and the city you want Look in the links page of Architect - several sites with maps are listed.
