Pretty darn slow for just about everything, even not-so-intensive tasks like AutoCAD. Anything complex like 3D modelling and the like is nearly impossible unless you think a glacier moves at a rapid pace. If you have a newer Mac w/an Intel processor, try the dual boot setup with Boot Camp where Windows runs natively.
Yeah, VP is terrible. Boot Camp for the new MacBook put up some very impressive scores running XP though. You can't run that on anything but the Wintel Macs however.

I used it to use the licensing exam practice software and it worked fine.
Autocad? It's slow... See cooment above or better try parallel workstation with the new Mac...
