I have a bunch of info from MassGIS, but I cannot use it with AutoCAD (v2002). I've tried guthriecad, but the trial version won't let me convert the file (too big).
my office cannot afford GIS software, so any help is greatly appreciated.
are there any LISP routines that could convert shp files?

don't know about any routines, but vectorworks 12 can handle .shp files.
How big are the .shp's? What are you hoping to convert them to? Nurbs? a jpg of the whole file?
maybe someone nearby has vw12 and could help you out. you can import them into vw12, then export as a .dwg.
my vw12 doesn't seem to have an option to import SHPs... is it in some non-obvious menu?
