I'll second Blick, occasionally they have chipboard in a really nice gray-brown color. Also there's a Michael's Arts & Crafts that opened last winter at 97th and Columbus that has those mini sheets of plywood and veneer for far cheaper than anywhere else I've seen in the city.
Modeling supplies in NYC
So, where are the good places to go for modeling stuff in new york ?
Pearl Paint and Canal Plastics, both on Canal Street.
i thought Canal Plastics is no more?
Canal Plastics is still there, Industrial Plastics closed.
Haven't been there but I understand Metalliferous is a good place if you are looking for metal pieces.
...are there any others? I'm looking for modeling stuff like cardboard, chipboard, basswood, etc.
