I don't know if his work should be necessarily "classified" as "modern", his work seems to transcend labels, although much of the work in the past few years has been more "modern" than traditional.
o man there are millions of beautiful hauses. i love them..
even i got a nice one that i liked. my first ground up house to my name. yes hillside as well.new owners painted horribly.
i don't even know who they are anymore. old owner was a closet case designer who took out the mahogany casing from the windows and put ss steel. shit happens with houses later. you have to walk away from it sometimes. low budget around 250K in 1991,silverlake
I also appreciate the below homes by Charles Rose and his former partner Maryann Thompson...not sure what projects are together and which were independent of the partnership
ap...
i used to work at charles rose..
that second house is definitely post partnership..
if you want to see a house you should check out the orleans project on
his site...very sweet...i designed the stair for the house you referenced
above...and worked on a couple other things. that project is pretty
nice as well.

richard neutra
pierre koenig
a. quincy jones
have a special place in my heart for schindler -- i can't wait to go to LA in june for the convention where i will rent a car, skip the classes, and see what i can see
beautiful indeed. i cringed once i saw my browser go to full screen [a big pet peeve of mine], but soon forgot about it and was quickly seduced by the gorgeous imagery.
they should either make the imagery slightly smaller or rescan it and provide a better resolution image though. if your imagery is that seductive and large, i want it super crisp.
Your Favorite Modern Home Architect
Who is he or she and if you have some images please link them.
Or what is your favorite modern home?
Mark McInturff www.mcinturffarchitects.com
Greatest residential architect in my opinion.
I don't know if his work should be necessarily "classified" as "modern", his work seems to transcend labels, although much of the work in the past few years has been more "modern" than traditional.

"Dear Otto and Maria, I just found that Sphinx on Uranus. I will use it as inspiration if you ever ask me to design your next house."
no, but I did meet him in 1994. What's up with the attitude? Everyone has different tastes. Who's your favorite? That's what the question said.
no attitude, just expressing my opinion that i really don't like his work. sorry.

I don't know many residential architects on the West coast, but suyama's work looks pretty nice from what you posted. Thanks.
No, Strawbeary, you will NOT be made fun of for that, I like Susanka's work as well.

I agree, gorgeous images and sad that they are scaled to ill the screen. It's bad that it's full screen, but even worse when you can't resize it.
