Sorry if this has been mentioned numerous times but I wanted to clarify what the average GPA for acceptance is for the UCLA M.Arch I Graduate program.
My overall GPA is horrible compared to my major GPA. I was wondering which they took into account more. I'm guessing they are more concerned with the major GPA?
I'm just hoping there are some people out there who have gotten accepted with an overall GPA of 3.2-3.4. I'm assuming it all comes down to the portfolio.
3.2-3.4 is hardly a "horrible" GPA. If anything, they might require a 3.0min, so you're good. If it were an issue, then they'd just set the minimum requirement higher. It's not in their best interest to review applications that they'd dismiss anyway based on GPA. I'd be most concerned about the portfolio. I can't speak from personal experience, but I've seen others get into pretty decent schools with lower GPAs. You can call them up as well and ask if they can tell you the avg. GPA, but if I were you I wouldn't worry so much. :)
