I'm in the last few days of crunch-mode, trying to get my portfolio finalized and printed. This is not a first draft, but not a final either. I still have to add two more projects (professional / built designs from this past year) and write a few descriptions. I guess I'm just looking for some constructive criticism or even a little encouragement just to give me the motivation to push through these last couple spreads.
Some background:
25/m/boston
BS Arch from MIT (2008)
~2 years firm experience, mostly residential, with a few restaurant projects
Applying to U of Oregon, UC Berkeley, Cincinnati, and Maryland.
Thanks, & good luck to the rest of you applicants.
From a 30 second flip through, just wondering if you've done a test print yet. I'm betting that those color blocks are going to print darker than what's appearing on screen, and may make the overall readability go down.
I'm aware of that, and will probably do a test print this week and make some tweaks. Luckily only one of the schools needs a print copy, so I've been working in RGB instead of CMYK.
I'll probably end up with two versions, one for screen and one for print, with minor color and font differences.
Pages 9/10, touch up the right-side photographs to have a mono-color background, preferably all-black. The sloppy variations of grey/black are distracting me from that sexy model in the foreground! Otherwise it looks nice.
Looking for some feedback (portfolio)

Sorry, but I'm not sure exactly what photos you mean... page 9?
