i actually went to the PA award ceremony last january in NYC and saw Thom Mayne as the keynote speaker. We came too late to see Peter Eisenman, but instead had an awkward if funny moment with him at the coat check.

it's a pretty small event, say 100 people; if you're in new york you should check it out.

When I saw Eisenman he looked like a football coach with khaki pants and a bad black sweater. My friend worked for him last year and said is acts like one too. Anyway, at the lecture (OSU 2001?) he sat behind a folding table on stage. He started apathetically and monotonically with "I am sitting. I am tired." Ugh.
