I found something on the Autocad forums about adding project names. So In the preferences panel on both our computers I added the name of our fileserver.
Nothing worked after that until I did the next step:
When adding an xref, you must make sure you are using its relative path rather than its full path. ( 3 options are given when importing )
Once again, not quite sure what I did, but the xrefs loaded on my co-workers PC when I opened the drawing file.
Sorry I'm not of much help, i'm tired and my brain hurts.

Accessing Xrefs on a fileserver using Mac AND PC
Greetings Everyone,
Straight to the point:
Autocad xrefs were path'd on a PC to our file server.
Since I'm using a Mac; when I open a file, the xrefs do not show up because the original path was created on the PC.
I can re-path all the Xrefs on my mac, but then when my co-worker goes to open the file on his PC, the Xrefs won't load.
Is their a workaround to this that google is hiding from me?
Found a fix...
... now how do I delete this thread....
you won't share your solution with us? I'll share with you some shrubbery blocks if you let me in on the secret.
Honestly, i'm not quite sure what I did...
